Hello Amy -- thanks for having this site. I have found my great grandfather, Henry Leatherman, listed in the 1900 and 1910 censuses as being an inmate in Ward 3. I'm not seeing him on this list so wanted to add him. I'm not sure why he was there. He was widowed and of German heritage although the census incorrectly lists him as being born in PA and also Germany (different years). He was actually born in Ohio, though his family came from Germany to Pennsylvania and I suspect that if he was not well, that could easily be confused. He died there in 1913. If there is any way you know of to obtain records, we'd be interested in seeing what brought him there.
